Custom Home Projects Vancouver Island
This is a full-sized carriage house addition on a large generational waterview property. It is designed to the maximum allowable suite footprint and features timber post, beams and reclaimed timber rafters complimented by Douglas fir ceilings.
The three expansive, covered decks—front, back, and rooftop—offer ocean views, while a unique deck bridge connects the three-storey addition to the existing home, allowing for increased building height.
The rooftop is set to include three custom water features: two water ponds and a copper water wall. Inside, the suite has polished concrete floors and copper wall accents, complemented by a concrete roof tile with copper details. A discreet three-stop elevator at the rear offers access to all levels to support aging-in-place.
The layout includes two bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a luxurious soaker tub. An outdoor kitchen and hot tub area are planned for the back deck, while the front-facing glass is treated with energized glass technology, ensuring privacy in the evenings.
